Web Accessibility Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

LingvaShop Translations (“LingvaShop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to making this website as accessible and usable as reasonably possible for the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. In our accessibility efforts, we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as a guiding reference. WCAG is a set of recommendations, and this policy describes the efforts we undertake rather than a representation that any particular level of conformance has been achieved.

This policy sets out the standard we use as a reference, the scope of content it covers, how we approach accessibility in the development and review of our website, and how we handle accessibility-related requests. It is an internal governance document that guides our work; the practical information our visitors need in order to report a difficulty or request assistance is provided separately in our Accessibility Statement.

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to describe, for our own internal reference and for the sake of transparency, the approach we take to improving access to and use of this website by people with disabilities. It is not intended to promote any specific design or technology, and it is not a guarantee or warranty that the website meets any particular standard.

Scope

This policy applies to content available at https://lingvashop.com that is owned and controlled by LingvaShop. It may not apply to third-party content, plug-ins, widgets, or services that we do not own or control, including content supplied by our service providers and integrated third-party functionality.

Reference Standard

We use WCAG 2.2, Level AA, as our guiding reference. We selected Level AA because it is the level most commonly used as a reference point for commercial websites and reflects a practical balance between accessibility and feasibility. WCAG is a set of recommendations rather than a legal mandate specific to private commercial businesses, and our use of it as a reference does not constitute a claim of conformance. We aim to take updated versions of these guidelines into account as they become available and as reasonably practicable.

Our Approach

  • We aim to develop new and redesigned content on this website with WCAG 2.2, Level AA as a guiding reference.
  • We work to review and improve existing content over time, using WCAG 2.2, Level AA as a reference, as resources reasonably allow.
  • Where conformance with a particular guideline is not reasonably feasible for technical or practical reasons, we look for an accessible alternative and continue our efforts over time.
  • We aim to reassess accessibility after significant changes or redesigns to the website.

Handling Accessibility Requests

When we are notified that an individual with a disability is unable to access content on this website, we will make reasonable efforts to provide that content, information, or service in an accessible format or through an alternative means, within a reasonable period of time after we are notified. Accessibility-related requests and reports are received and handled through the contact channel published in our Accessibility Statement. We treat such requests as a normal part of our ongoing accessibility efforts.

Review of This Policy

Digital accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time achievement. We review this policy from time to time and may update it as our website, the available guidelines, and best practices evolve. We continue to test, learn, and improve over time.

This policy is provided for general informational purposes only. It describes our ongoing efforts and does not create any contractual obligation, representation, warranty, or guarantee that the website conforms to any particular accessibility standard or that any particular result will be achieved.
